How to Lose Body Fat - 5 Surefire Tips

1. Forget Low Fat - Fat is necessary to feel full, and to slow the absorption of sugar into the bloodstream. Before the low fat nonsense of the last few decades, fat was seen as healthy, and carbohydrates as the cause of obesity. Earlier generations described the ideal diet as one one with 'plenty of eggs, beef, chicken, butter and vegetables'. This way, you can prevent obesity, snacking and excessive sugar consumption - and you can forget about low fat diets - just be smart about it.

2. Stay away from Sodas, diet sodas, energy drinks and any sugary drinks. They have no nutritional value - just full of sugar and corn syrup. Sodas have been linked to childhood and adult diabetes. And it is also murder on your teeth. All that sugar causes cavities. Just drink water, smoothies or fresh juice to freshen you up.

3. Use protein to build muscle - Because it burns calories more quickly than any other tissue, muscle is the engine for weight loss. Muscles need protein and exercise.

4. Take magnesium - This is critical for weight loss because it improves insulin response. Therefore, it will reduce the risk of sugar cravings and emotional eating.

5. Get motivated - set small, achievable results based goals. For example, look at eating 2 pieces of fruits a day and increase the intake after a week. Alternatively, aim to walk an hour twice a week, and increase the intensity and frequency the next week or month. All small steps working toward bigger goals.
